This non-accredited course provides the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and provide medication assistance and complete medication documentation and manage any contingencies in regards to medication management. It also involves supporting a client to self-administer medication
The unit applies to disability support workers, community services, and health workers with authority in their state or territory to assist with the administration of medication.
It is designed for those whose job involves assisting clients with medications, documenting medication usage, and dealing with medication-related issues in the workplace.

Assist with medication training course is targeted at students who are seeking to refresh their skills and knowledge in medication assistance to further their career prospects or study pathways. Assist with medication training course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom-based setting, as well as in the workplace. The timetable for this course will be advised in your Workshop Booking email and Student Agreement. You are required to attend classes for 2 hours where you will complete a mix of theory and practical activities.
Your classes will be conducted in modern classrooms, and you will be able to access Wi-Fi. You will be provided with a Student Guide for learning. We will identify any additional support needs you may have at the time of application and enrolment and may prepare a Student Support Plan for you based on those needs.

Participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
A detailed payment plan and payment arrangements are provided in the Workshop Booking and Student Agreement. You must pay all your course fees and on time. Non-payment of fees may result in cancellation of enrolment.
