The Course Is Delivered Through A Blended Arrangement With A Component Of Online Self-Paced Learning And Assessment Followed By Learning And Practical Assessments In A Classroom Situation.
The Duration May Differ Based On A Student's Current First Aid Skills And Knowledge And If They Are Participating For The First Time Or Completing Refresher Training.
Our manual handling course is delivered at our Plympton Park training facility - centrally located and easy to get to from Marion, Glenelg, Hindmarsh, Torrensville, and the Adelaide CBD. We also offer onsite delivery, meaning we can come directly to your workplace across greater South Australia - including aged care facilities in Brighton, construction sites in Lonsdale, and disability support services across the inner south.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner.
This unit applies to all workers involved in manual handling tasks.

Achievers College has the following entry requirements:
Should undertake a Language Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment online. Our LLND test can be found SMS- Axcelerate- LLND assessment and must be completed prior to enrolment. If you do not pass, the office will contact you to discuss support options. Completing the assessment also demonstrates your digital skills.
There are no exceptions to the physical requirements relating to the provision of CPR, as listed above. If you cannot complete the CPR activities, you will not be awarded a certificate.
This course is delivered online and face-to-face in a classroom-based setting simulating real-life situations.
All relevant equipment and resources required to complete training and assessment are provided by Achievers College. Your classes will be conducted in modern classrooms, and you will be able to access Wi-Fi.
The online learning and assessment should be satisfactorily completed prior to attending class.
Students should refer to the learning materials to ensure they answer the questions correctly.
If you have not answered all of the questions correctly after two attempts, you must contact the office to arrange learning support prior to attending class.
Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning are not available for HLTWHS005 Conduct Manual Tasks Safely.

On satisfactory completion of the course, you will be awarded the following Statements of Attainment.
The unit HLTWHS005 Conduct manual tasks safely is included in many qualifications within Training Packages. Therefore, a statement of attainment for these units can be used as credit for a range of qualifications.
Students must have provided a USI to enable Statements of Attainments to be issued. We encourage all students to provide us with a USI at enrolment or to contact us if you require assistance. Exemptions from producing a USI apply to some cases. Full details of the application process and exemptions can be found on theUSI official website.

We will supply you with information about all fees and charges prior to enrolment. This information will be in the course information on our website and in our Course Brochures. It is also listed below. Fees comprise of course fees only.
We are aware of our obligations as Registered Training Organisation to protect any student fees paid in advance. To this effect we do not collect fees in advance of more than $1500.
We charge $10 to replace a Certificate or Statement of Attainment. All requests for replacements must be made in writing and should include the address you want it posted to. You should allow 5 working days from receipt of request to delivery.
